Every year as much as

$4,800,000,000

of beauty and personal care products end up in the landfill. With more than
half of this amount being attributed to overproduction.

But We Believe It Doesn't
Have to Be that Way

Hi! We got the idea to start Kindness Kits as UCLA students wanting to address the rampant waste perfectly usable personal care items. Over the last 50 years, the United States has seen a 400% increase in overconsumption, even more intensified by social media's relentless demand for the next "next" new product. As a result, countless cosmetic and hygiene items end up as waste. Our mission is to curb this trend by redistributing these products because everyone deserves self care. If the resources exist, they shouldn't go to waste.
